Justin Bourke has joined WHDH 7 in Boston as a reporter.

Justin joins WHDH from KENS CBS 5 in San Antonio, Texas where he had been a reporter and anchor since April 2015.

"I'm heading to Boston to report for WHDH, Channel 7 News, and to be closer to my family in the frozen north" Justin said on his Facebook page. "If there's one thing I've learned about San Antonio it's that this city really is one big family. I can't even count all the amazing people I've met and the delightful conversations I've had in the past two years. So thank you to San Antonio for being San Antonio, and save some tacos for me when I visit. I'm gonna go be that guy who accidentally says "y'all" on Boston TV."

Before joining KENS, Justin worked for two years as a reporter and anchor for KDRV ABC 12 in Medford, Oregon.

During his time in Oregon, Justin covered a number of stories that gained national attention, including devastating wildfires, underfunded law enforcement agencies and multiple FBI cold cases. He also conducted investigations into digital forensics and human trafficking, child custody courts and more.

Justin has also worked as an anchor for GoLocalProv.com; was an intern for CityLine at WCVB; and was a reporter and anchor for the Boston University News Service.

A native of Boston, Justin earned a Master's Degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University in 2012. He was part of the 2012 election team that earned two New England AP Awards, a New England Emmy Award and a Telly Award. He earned a Bachelor's degree in 2007 from the University of New Hampshire.

Justin started at WHDH on April 28.
